The Humanistic Youth Centre (HYC) is a non-profit startup by the Tzu Chi Foundation, Singapore that aims to be a platform for young people to realise wholesome values and contribute towards a sustainable community. it is a one-stop location for young people to gather, meet new friends, learn positive values, and be inspired.
The design concept drew inspiration from the approach and importance of fundamentals in life hence creating spaces that showcase rawness in materiality and building techniques. The project has been shortlisted for the INDE Awards 2020 under 'The Wellness Space' category.
