THE TEAHOUSE
The intention of the project is to propose a symbiont space to the host, Newhaven library located at Newhaven, East Sussex. The high street of Newhaven used to be the community hub of the town back in the days. however, due to several factors, the connection of the town with its residents had gradually dissipated. ‘ The teahouse ‘ concentrated on creating a sense of connectivity within the community through tea as its ceremonies are a social event known to bring people of different backgrounds together. Tea culture is defined by the way tea is made and consumed. The project uses this definition to form the activities in the space.
